In 1999, Dr. Cara Brannigan fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian when she graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
She practiced in New Jersey prior to moving to Colorado, where she has been both in private practice and shelter medicine.
In 2008, she also received her veterinary acupuncture certification from Colorado State University. She believes that veterinary practice should include both caring for animals and for the people who love them.
Dr. Brannigan shares her Longmont home with her husband, Patrick, who is also a veterinarian, and a menagerie of rescued animals. Aidan and Jack, Dr. Brannigan’s sons, have grown into fine young men, allowing her more time to explore and cultivate her hobbies.
